DVD is the next generation of video storage.  With the capacity for high quality video and sound, DVD has surpassed video tape as the new industry standard in quality long lasting storage. 

Video tape gets worn every time you use it.  Chemical processes, disintegration, and magnetic fields can limit many tapes to a shelf life of 10 years or less! Your memories should last a lifetime, and they will when converted to the DVD format. DVDs don't degrade with use, and under normal circumstances have a near infinite shelf life.

Best of all, you can forget the endless fast forwarding and rewinding.  DVD is digital, and with the addition of chapters during the conversion, you can go right to the scene that you want.  No rewinding, no fast forwarding, just click and you are there.
